I’ve seen the Glory of God Almighty.
God lives and reigns I promise you it’s fact!
I don’t tell fib type stories.
I don’t exaggerate.
I’m definitely not a “drama queen” type guy. I tell it like it is and IF you have ever seen the true Glory of God you’ll know what I am going to share with you is nothing but pure fact.
This story has nothing to do with pancreatitis but should give you hope because Jesus lives, Jesus heals and Jesus saves today just as He always has. “In the beginning was the Word (Jesus) and the Word was with God and the Word was God.” John1:1-2
One year ago last August (August of 2015) my mom and I were playing cards (she was 88 not quite 89 y/o). All of a sudden she said …
“I can’t do this anymore” and she went comatose.
Her eyes were open, spittle was dribbling down her chin.
She couldn’t talk or move.
I called 911 and told them I thought my mom was “stroking.” Within minutes the EMS arrived and so did my mom’s granddaughter from next door. When Deena saw her grandmother she said “Oh my God.”
I told Deena that I didn’t think my mom would make it to the ER.
The paramedics took her vitals (BP, glucose, and ecg strip). BP was 70/40. I did not see the ecg strip at that time. They thought she may be stroking as well and so rushed he to the Ambulance and to the hospital they went.
I followed by car.
I was calling on the Lord, praying like a warrior. I reminded My Holy father and Jesus that both mom and I were His children and that according to Mark 11:22-29 Jesus promised that whatever I spoke, with no doubt in my heart, that I would have what I say. So I spoke life over my mom and prayed she would live.
I commanded her to live in Jesus’ Name!
I kept praying with tears streaming down my face all the while reminding Jesus of His promise to give me whatever I asked for (John 14:13). I told Him I believed, that He knew I believed, that He could search my heart and that I expected Him to honor His Word, His promise.
Over and over I commanded my mother to live in the precious Name of Jesus.
It takes about 20 minutes to reach the hospital.
I arrive and the paramedics see me and escort me to the room my mom was taken to.
Deena was right behind me.
We got close to her room and she saw us and waved! saying “Hi!”
The paramedics said she came to in the ambulance! Deena and I looked at each other and smiled! To make a long story short as usual the ER doctor got the diagnosis wrong. The paramedics left my mom’s ECG strip on the counter in the ER room which showed Atrial Fib yet he diagnosed her with dehydration! I climbed all over him and embarrassed my family (everyone was there by that time). I can’t stand that hospital. My mom has been in several times and they have misdiagnosed her each time. I’ve been in there with AP (acute pancreatitis) twice and they had no clue.
Fast forward to right now.
As I write this my mom is in the hospital (different one). I had previously (Wednesday about 20:00 I had to call 911 because her BP was 212/128). So we spent 6 hours in the ER and she was released when her BP was around 160/80. Then …
Early Friday (12:30) morning she started shaking uncontrollably. I drove her back to the ER and she was almost immediately taken into the ER. They drew enough blood to give someone a transfusion, hooked her up to an IV bag of Levofloxacin. Soon she was admitted to the 5th floor which is the advanced care ward. She had a UTI which at age 90 can turn ugly fast.
It did. She developed Sepsis. People of all ages can die from Sepsis and the elderly are extremely at risk of death from this severe infection. She was extremely sick; however, nobody bothered to tell me she went septic.
Saturday morning she went into Atrial Fibrillation.
I had left only a few hours earlier because I was very tired and was told she was doing ok so I missed most of the party (the room was filled with nurses and Dr Weitzman).
When I talked with the Doctor I found out how sick she was and that he wasn’t sure whether or not she would make it for a couple of hours. Her heart rate had gone down but was NOT normal sinus, she was still in AF. After hours of being on a calcium channel blocker she was still in AF, her heart rhythm had still not normalized. She was still septic.
I was apprehensive about leaving but I needed sleep. I’d only had an hour, maybe two in 36 hours. So at around 11:30 I went home and turn the TV to DayStar. I started watching “In Touch” with Dr. Stanley but I fell asleep in my chair.
I woke up about 13:30 with this incredible urge to pray. I began talking with Abba (my Daddy, our Heavenly Father). I told Him (like He didn’t know Ha!) that my mom was extremely sick. I asked Him and Jesus to heal her and take all disease from her body. I spoke Bible verses like Mark 11:22-29, John 14:13, Psalm 91 (the protection Psalm) and Psalm 46:10 (be still and know that I am God). I kept reminding Jesus of His promise and asking Abba in Jesus’ name to make my mom well.
“What is impossible with man is possible with God.” Luke 18:27
I was back in the hospital by 06:30 and found Rachel (mom’s nurse) and was told her heart rhythm went normal sinus at 15:30. My mom was out of AF and it looked like the drugs (two antibiotics) were winning against the Sepsis.
I was praising God this Sabbath (Sunday)! She had another AF event Sunday morning after her breathing treatment which reverted to normal sinus in a couple hours. Both AF events happened after her morning breathing treatment so the doctor ordered a breathing treatment drug change. But God did not let this last AF event continue.
I was told today that my mom is making a good recovery and will probably be able to go home soon. If you’d like to read a very cool pancreatitis story click here and read about Steve.
God loves you. The Father loves you so much he gave His only Son as atonement for your sins. The Son of God (Jesus) loves you so much He died for you. You have a choice. Complete Joy in Heaven with God, Jesus, The Holy Spirit, the Saints and Angels or Hell. I do NOT want anyone who reads this information (this site) to spend eternity in horror but …
Only you can determine where you spend eternity. Think hard because this life is a mere drop in the bucket of time when compared to eternity. Eternity is one long, long, long time.
Call on the Name of the Lord God (Jesus) and be saved.
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:16

Thanks Cheryl! God is AWESOME!
I just unsubscribed I’m Christian, but I don’t get this newsletter to read religious rantings. This post was SO inappropriate, off topic, and frankly embarrassing. I guess I’ll find support and advice for dealing with pancreatitis elsewhere
Lisa I hope you find what you need. God bless you 🙂
Newly diagnosed pancreatitis patient. Thank you for your words of wisdom and encouragement. We serve a strong and mighty God. This post really blessed me.
